I recently bought the Football personalised book with cuttings for my husbands favourite team and was impressed with the product, its quality and the timing with which it came, and my husband loved it
I mentioned it to people at work and how now have got them hooked!

Bought a newspaper for my boyfriend's birthday, for the day when he was born.

I purchased an Original 'Times' Newspaper for my sister's 50th Birthday.
I ordered 'The Times' as the photos on the website looked good with pictures and headlines. However, when the paper arrived there were no pictures or headlines, it was all small print and the first few pages were full of births and deaths!
I realise that it's an original paper of the day, but it was the most underwhelming present I have seen and to be honest, quite depressing reading!
You also have to remember that the papers will be old (50 years in this case) and are therefore discoloured and held together at the spine with sellotape. The Times I purchased also had paper punch holes down the spine.
In fairness to GoneDigging, They replaced the Times with a Daily Mirror of the same date, which had pictures and interesting headlines. It was also in better condition than my original purchase, but it did arrive the day after my sister's birthday.
All in all I was pleased with the present and GoneDigging done all they could to make me a happy customer.

Prompt dispatch, excellent product, great company and unbelievably helpful customer service.
I had an issue with the paper originally purchased, which was replaced with a pristine copy and upgraded to a superior gift box, free of charge, in a blink of an eye.

I've given the newspaper to two brothers and two best friends now, and honestly it is the best gift ever! They have all been thrilled. I was given one for my 50th which and I treasure it. How special to receive something printed on the day you were born no matter how old you are!

I looked hard to find a gift that would be different to most and found it on the GONEDIGGING web site. It was a Newspaper printed on the day of their wedding day 40 years ago. It was posted out to me within a day of ordering and arrived in a well packaged box three days later by G.P.O. Truly brilliant service and informed from start to finish as to what was happening. I ordered a newspaper from the date my dad was born to give to him for his 60th birthday. The transaction was very easy and I was really please with the speed of the delivery. If I had to have a gripe it would be that the newspaper was only 4 pages or so - however I have since found out that newspapers were limited to how much type they could set during the 50's so I think this was how long the newspaper actually was. Overall a good buy & a trustworthy site which I would recommend (and in fact have already recommended to a colleague). I would certainly use this site again for future purchases

My order arrived very quickly and was well packed. The box was charming as was the Certificate accompanying the paper. The newspaper itself had clear, crisp print and a 'straight from the news-stand' kind of air.
As it is intended as a gift for a November birthday I shall have to wait for the recipient to let me have a closer look.....it was so nicely packaged that I didn't want to spoil the appearance by having a really close peek !

Made an order, "online", of a 1946 Times Newspaper. We gave a message to be printed on the Certificate of Authentication, and was very surprised that the message was printed on the certificate, and delivery was received in less than 24 hours.
